My Daily Diary About Life As A Student In The IPG 👩🏫
Now I want to share with you my daily diary about life as a student in the IPG. Before that, I would like to tell you that this is the third time I have applied to enter IPG. Many people are surprised because I am older than them. Maybe my face looks young, unlike 20 years old 😂
Ok, now I will tell you about my day as an IPG student. On 6/9, I registered online and officially became an IPG student. And we as new IPG Perlis students need to do videos directed by senior students. At first, it was a bit difficult but as a prospective educator, I had to do it according to the set instructions. This picture I was training to record my video and actually this is the neighbor's house but I borrowed it for a while because my house always has people lurking around me.
After registration, during the week we had an orientation, from there I could get to know new friends, the environment at IPG Perlis, the lecturers, and the rules that need to be followed. Honestly, I'm not very focused on what is being said hahaha. After that, the online classes started as well. I got to know my classmates more closely. Be able to recognize their names and so on. Honestly throughout this online learning, it was a bit tiring because what was taught was not everything I understood. Furthermore, classes are too crowded from morning to evening. But I still enjoy this new learning style.
This is a class with my mentor Dr. Shuhairi. I’m so happy to know everyone. After a few months of online classes. Eventually, I was called back on campus. I was very excited but at the same time, I was also still not ready to leave my family. But for the sake of knowledge, I have to keep going. Alhamdulillah, now I have managed to step on the land of IPGKPS. I feel very grateful and happy because my dream to study at IPG has come true.
In IPG I have a friend named Haila but I call her Eyla. She is from Kelantan. She is one of the people closest to me. At first, I was a bit scared because I am a quiet person but I am thankful because Eyla likes to talk a lot and makes me comfortable with her. I learned many ‘Kelantan’ languages from Eyla. I just found out that the term ‘Teh O Beng’ is ‘Teh O Ais’. I was so excited to hear words I had never heard and sometimes we always laughed hearing the ‘accents’ from our respective states.
Before I registered for IPG, I take a
picture first with my beloved family ❤️. After that, I was given the room key and
I met my roommate and she is also from Perak. And the
face-to-face class began. I was excited to see my classmates in front of my
eyes. I don't think my friends are quite different between real life and online, each of them is beautiful and smart. I'm insecure 😌
There are many assignments at IPG. Sometimes I think I’m probably going to go crazy hahaha but I can still go on and it’s not a thing that will dampen my spirits. So I went to the lake at IPG to relieve stress. I didn't expect the view at the lake to be so beautiful. After a few weeks of studying at IPG, I am very happy with the culture and environment here because there are various activities implemented to further strengthen our ‘ukhuwah’.

On 21/11 we have a program "SANTUNAN KASIH BERSAMA SISWI GURU". What surprised me was that we had to wear 'kaftans' during the day. I'm like WOW, amazing hahaha. I was so embarrassed at the time because my kaftan was too big. When I wore it I was like a ghost that morning 😥. Things are a bit embarrassing. Other people look beautiful when worn when my time is kind of creepy 👻. But, this is one of the sweetest memories for me.😊
Apart from that, the food here is quite affordable and tasty. I spend RM10 a day. Surprised right? I was very surprised because I managed to save money and often other people will spend money in RM20 a day 😂 if it's like this maybe I can lose weight successfully. This is what I want 🤣but there was an incident where I was a bit dissatisfied as I ordered ‘nasi goreng kampung’ with fried eggs, but I only got rice that had been mixed once with fried eggs and the quantity of the rice was also quite a bit.
On 4-18 December, we had netball matches for girls and soccer for boys. And I will definitely participate in the netball competition because I used to represent the school before but still not good at playing. 😂 and I took a position as GA (Goal Attack). My team had a match on 4-5 December and unexpectedly we managed to beat 2 teams. I'm like (FUYOOO, I didn't think my team was great 😱). I am very proud.
And I have been at IPG Perlis for almost a month. There are all sorts of hard and easy things here that keep me strong and keep moving forward. The important thing is, I can't wait to go back home. As long as we were here, we couldn't go out for outing. Very sad. I really want to eat MCD 😂 I hope my dream comes true later.
So, I guess this is just a small sharing from me and hopefully I can share more with you about my daily routine 😚
SEE YOU AGAIN, BYE 👋👋👋
